An exemplary finely cut untreated Red and Orange Spinel from Vietnam. This is a special gem. When backlit this gem appears a cinnamon orange. When lit in the front it is a bold Crimson Red with smokey accents. This clever color scheme creates something special. The way the play of color dances and transitions creates a deceptively beautiful gemstone. In the smokey accents of this gem is a sense of mystery. Its an intriguing gem under close examination. This Spinel is a good enough cut and large enough stone to be an ideal center stone in a piece of jewelry. This is the very nicest cut Spinel in my collection.
